Got one of these on Saturday for taking to college during free periods, and it turned out to be a lot better than I expected it to be!

Tbh, I just hit record and chatted on with myself whilst playing.. I fudged that Shawn Lane solo and got a little camera conscious hence why I sped up there :laugh2:

Sorry for the short length, the camera won't let me record for longer than 2 mins at a time so I stuck to the sounds I personally like.

Re: MICROCUBE demo video

Some other things to note about the amp

- it has an aux in so you can plug your walkman into it for a mobile jam machine (you'll need a quarter inch jack plug though)

- it has a record/headphones out that sounds actually not all that bad!

I don't see it replacing my guitarport for recording but if you are a guitarist on a budget in need of a bedroom practise amp/recording solution, don't write off the microcube.

Tbh, the only sound I don't like on it is the recto, it's a bit buzzy sounding and way too harsh... But then again you can't expect a 5 inch 2 watt combo to sound metal can you :P

- edit

Oh yeah and the main reason I got the thing - it can run on batteries! (6xAA)

20 hours life apparently!

I've only used the 9volt adapter so far though...

Sizewise it fits in my backpack with still enough room for *shudder* text books

Sounded pretty good. I remember playing the cube 30 and thinking it sounded a lot better than the small line6 stuff. You play well, too...

Re: MICROCUBE demo video

Sounds good. I have had some interest in one of these for a while. Nice EVH by the way.

Re: MICROCUBE demo video

My cube 60 has brilliant cleans that I still miss, for some reason I like solid state cleans...

The OD models were all bad except the recto, that's all that sounded big and hard.

They are nice quality amps, I'm downloading the clip to see what you can do with one, then make myself even more embarrased to think about making a clip...

Re: MICROCUBE demo video

The microcube was my first amp. I liked it so much that I bought the Cube 60 as my next!

One thing to note about the Cubes is that each of the four models sounds distinctly different. I found that on the 60, only the high gain models were good. On the micro, the lower gain models were better. Go figure.
