I am selling this because I am trying to scrape together the cash for a new speaker for my MESA...

It is in excellent condition. It's got very nice upper mid range response, and sounds much more huge than an SM57 on electric guitar. Another advantage of owning this mic over a 57 is that you can use it on acoustic guitar because it's a condensor mic. You will need a preamp with phantom power on the XLR input. This mic does not use batteries!!

I think the toneport has an XLR input, does it not? If it supplies phantom power, then yes it will work.

Link me to the model you have and I can see if it has phantom power or not. (Oh and just to clarify, the preamp itself is not digital, the signal is converted into digital after the preamp - like any soundcard/interface does.)

No mention of phantom power, but they show a condensor in the example diagram... So I have to assume it DOESN'T have phantom power.
