Microphonics due to complex (Jimmy Page) wiring?

Re: Microphonics due to complex (Jimmy Page) wiring?

Do you notice any bleed-through when you have the volume set to zero on one pickup? For example, if you have the bridge volume set to zero, the bridge volume set to 10 and the toggle set to the bridge pickup, do you hear any sound at all. I believe in this situation there shouldn't be ANY sound coming out of the amp regardless of gain level, but I get bleed-through in this scenario. (I also get it if I set the bridge to 10, neck to zero and toggle to the neck position.)

I haven't had any squealing problems in the 3 guitars Ive wired for myself with the JP wiring.

I got my schematics from the Gibson website.

There are all sorts of variations of the JP wiring on the internet and not all of them work properly, some dont work at all.

Sounds like the installer didn't know what he was doing.

I sent you a PM... thanks in advance!

I also have the JP wiring on my Electra. I got the schematics from Robert_S. The only problem I have been having lately is that sometimes the bridge pup will not switch on. I suspect that my 3-way toggle has gone bad again. Other than that, I love the array of sounds from this setup.
