Middle Ground between PGb and Screamin Demon?

Is there a SD pup that falls in-between the Pearly Gates and Screamin Demon Bridge?

I'm thinking the A2P and '78 may fall in this category...
Maybe adding a cover to a Demon would take a little away too...
Or a mag swap...

Just throw out your gut feeling opinions on this if you have one. :thanks:

To be honest it's not that I want more or less of anything, but I have the PGn and SD already installed in guitars.

I want something similar, but not exactly the same in another guitar.

The fact that you're putting it in a different guitar means it won't be the same.

If you want something in the same vein, go with a 59b, S Deco, or PG+. They're all similar, but still different from each other.

Thanks, Benjy
I was just looking for something in the ball-park that was similar.
The 59b might be a lot of fun...

Re: Middle Ground between PGb and Screamin Demon?

The Demon is very thin and assertive, the PG has some extra meat on the lowest mids.

So you can either go with an APH which is slimmer than the PG but smooth, or with the '59 that is more scooped and can be very snorty when played hard.

If you think you are very sensitive to pickups you might also want to consider skipping all the messin'round and get a set of Antiquities.

What about a hybrid Demon PG bridge? I don't know if anyone has tried it yet...
