Middle position out of phase...HELP

Re: Middle position out of phase...HELP

~$15-$20

Wiring is fairly straight-forward and I will be happy to help you with it.

Re: Middle position out of phase...HELP

I saw a picture in your review, very nice!

It looks like the pickups could be symmetrical, so rotating one should give you exactly what you want: hum cancelling and in-phase.

I have a wiring diagram handy should you wish to get a Fender Super Switch.

If you wish to use the current switch and rotate a pickup, tell me which one you can most easily rotate and I can mark up your current drawing.

Already done man! Worked like a charm! I rotated the neck, it's rotated in that pic. Can't even tell. One thing that's odd about these is the both humbuckers in full are very noisy, with the bridge being slightly noisier. Any ideas? It's about as noisy as the bridge humbucker in my strat, but the humbuckers in my soloist are super quiet. Just an issue of old/dirty pots, jack or switch? The strat and the rg are way older and more used than the soloist.

Re: Middle position out of phase...HELP

Awesome!

When you swapped the wires on the neck pickup did you also connect the bare wire to the black wire to ground? If it is still connected to the red wire then you would likely get a problem with noise.

If you kept the bare wire connected to ground then all I can think of is making sure to check the continuity of the cavity/bridge/pickup shielding. Use a multimeter to tone out the bridge against the pickup cover (or baseplate if the cover doesn't conduct) and the bridge against something like your volume control or blade switch and against the output jack (or the ground part of your cable when it's plugged into your guitar).

Everything is properly grounded...should i clean the contact points of the switch? Ive heard thats a common cause and it makes sense for my situation as the strat is totally stock, the rg is obviously modded, and the soloist is modded

Can't hurt.

Has anyone complained about noise with Juggernauts?.
