Midi Axe Players Any Here >

Hello Group :

I just found this forum and looked about and posted in the guitar shop a few pics and stuff .

My question is are there any guitarists here with midi capable axes ? And if there are lets communicate :cool2:

I've got a Godin LGXSA and a Roland GR33 guitar midi module I hook up too for the midi control side of my music playing/looping/recording live and in my home studio .

I play the midi audio out and the acoustic electric guitar out of my LGXSA via the GR33's audio out into a Pioneer receiver at home for light rehearsals and into some beefier power amps for live gigging .

For my magnetic guitar out of my Godin I plug into a Carvin 60 watt tube and a Yamaha solid state 50 watt guitar amp .

For electric guitar FX & stomps and digital recording/looping of all the above I use my Digitech GNX4 DAW

Easy man .

hi and welcome

yup - there are a few of us on here ... mincer is our professor emeritus on the subject - really a maestro

i use a brian moore i88.13 that has been modded with duncans (AIIPn + JBb) and a P type megaswitch

i use a stereo breakout switch box to independently switch and rout the magnetic and piezo outputs that come out of my guitar on a stereo cable ....

i send the piezo output to a DTAR mama bear modeling preamp and then into 1 channel of a carvin ag100D combo amp

i send the magnetic pickup thru my pedal board and out to a fender blues jr

i send the 13 pin output from the guitar to the gr-33 and then the audio line out into another channel of the ag100D

i really do not like the mag guitar signal going through the gr-33 - i found it to be a major tone suck

if i was getting into it now, i'd want the rack mount solution (gi-20?) and a rackmount synth ... plus i'd want the dtar to be rack mounted ... and i'd probably go for a rack mounted mixer into a FRFR powered speaker
