New Loop pedal day...

It probably does...maybe watch a tutorial on YT....

Though sometimes it's fun when you record something out of sync & jam over it...

This started as a messed up loop timing-wise using my cheap little Zoom G1Xon processor (don't think it has the sync function for it's looper...it was super easy to mistime/mess loops up on) but it turned outto be fun soloing over cuz of the weird timing & vibe...

Back to the Sustainiac.

This one's my Schecter into my Bugera (no wah) + the Laney 2x12 V30 Cab mic'd w/ a single Senhheiser e906

Got the two new 'Pulse PM12S' speakers for my MDF Randall 4x12 (awesome cheap V30 clones) to add to the two I put in there a couple of weeks ago so now it is fully loaded w/ four Pulse speakers :bigthumb:

Sounds great. .At $35 each these are some of my fave cheap speakers and easily sound as good as anything you can buy ..like less spikey/slighly smoother V30's

With my Amt Stonehead/single SM57..

Wow I just recorded the Randall through my Laney 2x12 V30 cab & the Pulse's and V30's sound really similar ...if you make allowances for the the different amp's, cabs, guitar's & mic's used :p

But yeah you can definitely tell how close they are..

And a short clip w/ my Schecter..the last for a couple of days at least since I've gone and buggered up/cut my finger pretty badly. Always had that problem ,It's actually the string bending that gets me ..not the shred. Anyway I've found Dr Scholl's foot care cream for cracked feet to be pretty useful for fixing things w/ my fingers as long as I don't play for a while..Sucks.

I was however able to squeeze out this last clip..

Sparing & tasteful use of the sustainiac at the end there ^^ (less is less) elevated the Epic-ness of the tune to a whole new soaring level of grandeur :bigthumb:

After a good night's sleep with foot care cream all over my finger, things look better....and if I'm careful not to bend/shred too much, playing is possible too..

So here's another short clip w/ my Hotone Pulze. Did'nt use the looper for this just the Hotone's own usb audio interaface.

Here's where modeler's really shine... for quick/perfect sounding recordings ..just plug in your guitar and press record :D

And w/ my Orange Supercrush and mic'd Emi 2x12. Delay & reverb from the DAW (pumped them up to try and match the ^^ modeler's preset :p!)

But yeah the nice thing w/ a modeler is you have the whole effects chain set up as a preset and that includes a whole bunch of fx, boosts, compressors, delays, reverbs etc, already dialed in pretty decently...in a way I never could dial them in myself cuz I just don't have the patience (or gear/pedals) for it.

it's just so much faster and easier to work w/ modelers when you're recording stuff ..there's really no denying that.

Having said that..all routes can lead to sweet tone if done right. The advantage with modeling is it's just simpler/quicker..

But other methods produce excellent results as well. For instance people discount analog speaker sims as "inferior" cuz (surprise, surprise :laugh2:) that's what they've heard other people do"

But as usual reality is different & they often sound great & lack for nothing :bigthumb:

Using the onboard analog sp. sim output on my AMT Stonehead..recorded direct into the Loop pedal using my Behringer DI box. I also have an AMT Chameleon analog sp. sim pedal which I have always got great tones out of as well :bigthumb:

A friend lent me an Ammoon Stereo Looper, it has 10 minute recording time and a Backwards Loop capability.... very, very good bang for the buck looper .
