Here's our take on Midnight Rider. Recorded at the Dicken's opera House 3/18/16.

Re: Midnight Rider

Good stuff! Vocals sound great and I really dig the Holstein motif on the drum set! [emoji12]

Which one is you?

Yeah, the cows are a cool kit. Loud, too. Funny that the last band I was in had a drummer with a nine piece kit, and this one won't take out more than a four piece and still sounds great.

I'm on stage left, playing lead and singing the low part.

Nice job on that lead... sounded great!

(Didn't want to mention it before just in case you were the rhythm guy![emoji6])

Re: Midnight Rider

Fantastic job!! Everything sounded wonderful from the vocal backups to your lead tone. My only complaint is that the bass player needs a hat.;) :)

Re: Midnight Rider

That sounds great and balance is really excellent for a live recording. Well, we might need more cowbell.

Sign of a skilled drummer. A little more Jazz/Swing lilt wouldn't hurt, though. I miss the Gregg-style Hammond organ filling things out.

Re: Midnight Rider

Great song, well played, great FOH mix; that place looks 100x better than the crap houses I have played in!

Thank you so much!! Yeah, Chris is the outsider when it comes to our look as a band.

That place is the best we've yet played. The soundguy the first time I played there was a royal pain in the back side, but this one was a total breeze to work with. He took ten minutes and had FOH sound dialed, and when he asked if I needed any of my guitar in the monitors, I said I could hear my amp enough. His said "That is the correct answer, sir!!" We agreed that if you bring a decent amp onstage, there is really no reason to listen to guitar from a monitor speaker, which isn't really optimized for guitar in the first place. Good guy.
