Cat In The Hatministrator
I'm doing some work on a friends MIK Squier Telecaster (upgrading switch/pots/wiring) and I was planning to put on a more vintage correct bridge. I have a Wilkinson 3-saddle compensated bridge on my Tele and thought that'd be a good way to go for this. However, the Wilky bridge has 4 fixing screws and the Squier's bridge only has 3, plus is top-load only. It also looks longer than a traditional Tele bridge. I thought that a good solution would be to keep the bridge plate and get 6 brass, barrel-type saddles.
Does anybody know where to find some? Admittedly I've only looked at UK on-line stores briefly so far, but struggling to find any. Unless anybody else has another solution?
I have £100 to upgrade the guitar in total, and obviously 2 new CTS pots and a 3-way switch aren't going to be mega-bucks so I can't afford to go looking for high-end, custom stuff.
Cheers
