Mike Lipe Virtuoso Raspberry Burst #009

Up for sale is an amazing Mike Lipe Virtuoso in Raspberry Burst. Mike Lipe has been building incredible guitars since the 1980s and has built for Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, Carlos Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughan and many, many more. He was the first master builder at the Los Angeles based custom shop. I got to know Mike over the phone and email before I purchased this guitar from him in spring of 2010 and he actually built the guitar Satriani called "Pearly", which was seen in the Live in San Francisco DVD, but was then sadly stolen. Mike is a sweet guy and treats all of his customers and Lipe owners with the same respect. To learn more about Mike, go to his site:

Here are the features of this guitar

*Beautiful 1/4 sawn maple neck with serious straight grain
*Indian rosewood finger board with 22 medium jumbo jazzcore frets and a 12 degree radius
*Lipe designed headstock with correct pitch for ideal string pull and return for tremolo bridges
*Hipshot locking tuners
Alder body with matched flame maple top, Raspberry Burst finish, with maple binding along edge of the body
*DiMarzio At-1 in the bridge, Area 67 in the middle and Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues II in the neck (there are so many wonderful tones availible with these pickups and no hum, anything from pop, rock, fusion, shred to blues and funk)
*Super V double lcoking tremolo: I replaced the bone nut and Hipshot contour tremolo with the Super V double locking system. This is a drop-in system which turns your guitar into a guitar that can do fierce dive bombs, bends and pull ups with no impact on tuning. This was a $400 upgrade. If you want to bring the guitar back to stock, I will also be including the original hipshot countour tremolo and whammy bar. Mike now seems to be using Tusc XL nuts, so I suggest you go for that instead of the original bone nut as well.
*5 way switch with 1 tone and 1 volume knob as well.
*Original hard case and Certificate of Authenticity

This is a great guitar and Mike Lipe is a legend of a guy. Owning Virtuoso #009 is also going to be worth something in the future. I am only selling this because my tastes and style have really shifted more towards guitars with a shorter scale and some sort of hardtail or stoptail stringing system. This thing is incredible, but you gotta let some things go to a better home. For pictures, send me an email! I am asking for $2000 and these now go for about $3,200 or $3,500 new. This is a great steal.

Forum brothers, can someone post pictures for me? My screen reading software does not work well with the posting interface and putting up pictures is impossible on my end.
