Mike Stern Signature Yamaha Guitar

Anyone own one or played one? I like the look and concept a lot. In fact, My Tele is set up a lot like his; except that I have an Air Norton in the neck instead of a 59. I do have a Hot Rails in the bridge though.

I'd like to hear some thoughts on his Yamaha guitar.

Re: Mike Stern Signature Yamaha Guitar

Tele's with neck humbuckers are where it's at. The minute I'll find one with a neck I like, I'll buy one.

About the MS signature:
It's overpriced.
It has the old Fender radius - 7-1/4 - Which I don't like. And the Hot Rails Tele pup, as you mentioned, that I can't stand...
It's a pretty standard Tele besides the pickups and the contour.

Re: Mike Stern Signature Yamaha Guitar

Great guitars, very well made and while they don't sound like a trad Tele they are great sounding guitars, I really like the neck profile on the ones I have played and most of them are pretty light and sound good unplugged...go used, they are Yamaha's and don't hold their value very well...I think they are WELL worth what they go for used, and then some!
