Mim fat strat pickgaurd

Ok, so I ordered a b/w/b h-s-s p/g for my 95 fender mim strat. (Allparts)
Problem is, everything lines up EXEPT the hb route (off by 3/8" from the hb route in the body.) Not wanting to cut this up, I retuned it to original.

Anyone know of a source for direct fit Fat strat p/g's to fit an older mim strat? Preferably B/W/B to go with my uncovered seth lover bridge (Cream), and my surfer neck/mid, and aged knobs/switch tip. If I have to fill/drill some new screw holes, no big deal, just need it to fit otherwise (neck/ routes).

Edit: turns out it was off by 1/8". so, out came the router, and Now it's "sethed"

I got it from GPR, and they dont offer one in a fender b/w/b h/s/s...
They have one in mint, but idk how that would look with aged white/cream.

Mint looks real good with aged white. Fender was making a USA strat with that combo not too long ago. A friend of mine had one hanging in his store for a while. It had a rosewood board, and aged pickup covers and knobs. It looked way cool.

I have one almost exactly like that, Rowdy, but mine has a 'bucker in the bridge. I think the shell guard on aged/Arctic white is one of the best combos.

if all else fails, you could always get uncarved pickguard material and cut your own. just trace the one you've got onto the material, and cut the bridge 'bucker by hand or wh'ever:dunno:

I have tried cutting guards before...Not for me! Good suggestion, though.

Re: Mim fat strat pickgaurd

my 2 cents.... i have a 94 MIM strat with that same rout and the best thing i ever did was route the wood out to except a more modern Fender HSS picjguard... The closer the Bridge humbucker is to the bridge the more highs you get... move the humbucker out to where Fender currently houses their Humbuckers in Fat Strats and you get better lows and mids...

i bought an HSS pearloid guard from WD that had the humbucker routed to fit the 94 MIM strat... i hated the sharper tone and got my router out....

I'll keep that in mind.
Edit: Did it, glad I did, sounds great! Looks awsome!
