MIM Fender Tremolo Bridge Advice

Re: MIM Fender Tremolo Bridge Advice

Do you care what type of saddles it has?

The one from Allparts has solid cast saddles. The one on ebay has bent steel saddles.

Re: MIM Fender Tremolo Bridge Advice

Sorry if you mentioned this already, but I didn't see it: why do you want to replace the existing bridge?

I ask because the 2009-to-present MIM Strat trem is actually pretty nice. I think the "economy" trem you linked to would be a downgrade.

Re: MIM Fender Tremolo Bridge Advice

so I ordered the $30 "economy bridge assembly" from the op. It took a while for it to arrive, but I'm in the process of finishing up the strat so I haven't officially tried it yet. Will report back with the results

Re: MIM Fender Tremolo Bridge Advice

so I finally installed the bridge, and the springs are super tight. it's very difficult to use the tremolo at all. i think after it settles for a couple more weeks, it'll be normal
