Mind-Locked

Re: Mind-Locked

YES! Man this is pretty different from what I'm used to from you, but it has your thoughtful phrasing all over it and tasty tones. The closing in particular was epic as hell. I'm a big Devils of Belgrade fan but you are my favorite player on the forum. That surf metal track gets heavy play in the car!

Re: Mind-Locked

Thanks guys!! Always a bit scary to post a final mix, but you guys really took the edge off.

Re: Mind-Locked

nice! it goes from Toolian and then cuts into ZZ top classic rock with a solo, then into black sabbath, then some proggy rush something or another.

in a good way!

I can hear you spent a lot of time on this one, and it paid off big time, nice. I like how the bassguitar is prominent. epicness, and funny ending killing butterfly behind barz

cheers :beerchug: drinking smirrnofffff ice right nowz

Re: Mind-Locked

Funny analogies everdrone. Next one'll be more straight forward & simple, and I hope to employ your speed recording techniques. At some point there's a "law of diminishing returns" at work.

Re: Mind-Locked

That was really cool...lots of idea's and very nice playing! Great sounding recording too..

Re: Mind-Locked

That was awesome! I listen to many clips in this room but not always to the end. That was great .... very enjoyable! You managed to write and arrange a song that was loaded with melody and had some weight without resorting to the ubiquitous subliminal 'I want to kill something or someone' theme.

Re: Mind-Locked

I appreciate the comments guys!!

(for what it's worth, the mind-locked thing refers to breaking free from other's control of your time, your thoughts, your work product, etc., even if only for a little while to retain your sanity. kinda hard to convey that with a song title and a few riffs.)
