Here's a snippet of an email regarding the new amp from Jennifer Bennette at peavey.

"These have not gone into production yet. They are going to be introduced
at winter NAMM, and should be available in the 2nd quarter. You would be
able to purchase from your local dealer."

So its still going to be awhile.

Re: Mini JSX

It's the Mini Colossal, not Mini JSX.

The Mini Colossal is like a small Fender Champ-type amp with modern effects built in. Nothing like the JSX amps. It's more vintage than modern high gain.

Re: Mini JSX

Just trying to give a heads up on the new amp here. geez

Re: Mini JSX

I'm just telling you that it's not like the JSX, man. It's a different amp all together. I'm not getting angry, just informing you of the fact that it's not quite what you're thinking it is. We were all hoping it would be like the JSX, but it's really not. The specs were a disappointment to me as well as others here. A lot of us were hoping it would be a 1x12 high gain type, but that's simply not the case. Others here who are into classic rock might really like this as a good low wattage tube practice amp, though.

It's all good, man. Don't worry. No hard feelings. :)

Re: Mini JSX

If you reread what I originaly wrote you'll see I never suggested anything about the amp. I simply was informing everyone about when they go on sale.
It is called "mini JSX collosal."
You may not like the amp or whatever but that wasn't what I was talking about.
I'm good man. thanks

Re: Mini JSX

I hear what your saying though. I agree with your assessment of it as well.

Re: Mini JSX

saw the price tag for that- i must be the Satch rub-off...the Valve King Royal 8 is about that make & it costs musch less.

Re: Mini JSX

I think the JSX has more features that could rise the price,
but maybe not that much anyway. They have to pay Satriani
for using his name.

And his warm recomendations about the amp...

For the price and signature it should be a life changing, earth rocking little amp... :fingersx:
I somehow suspect it won't be...

Re: Mini JSX

$550.00

. . . seems like a pretty penny for a 5watter !

The new ValveKing 5watter is only $249.00, so STREET is probably closer to $200.00 !
