Mitchell Electrics? Nice lookin on the cheap..

Ive seen the Mitchell acoustics at GC for last several years, but looks like they are doing electrics now too.

This model looks pretty cool for a cost friendly axe. What I like most is the grommets used for at the neck joint. Ive seen some much more expensive guitars, including Ibanez, that don't use the grommets. Sculpted cutaways..headstock kinda looks like they borrowed from the GJ2s. I like the little splash of color.. Floyd....Amazing what you can get with so little dough these days.

The green: Nice looking top. Maple veneer even.. Used to be, this price would get you photo flame

They have single cuts and others.. Looks like good platforms for a new set O'Seymours..

They look nice. The blue with the maple fretboard is sweet as.

The price doesn't seem all that great considering all the parts are no name brand.

Wait until MF has a sale and then grab one.

They look a lot like the Rondo Music/Agile stuff to me...probably made in the same place by the same people.

Probably. IIRC, there are only a couple of builders out there and they build for multiple brands..

Kramersteen, yeah, I mean they aren't dirt cheap, but when I started playing, there weren't many options for inexpensive starter guitars (under 500). Most anything sub $300 was plywood and no Floyd.. Had some kinda cheap trem. Im betting they are a prolly pretty decent with some good pickups.. Accoustics were even worse.. my first accou was a no name brand and had terrible action and continued to get worse as the bridge started to pull up at the back..

I don't go near anything with a no name floyd rose. Rather sorce out a decent second hand guitar with all the right parts.

Lots of dirt cheap-yet-awesome ones around these days :bigthumb:

I've had no problems with the stock Mighty Mite Floyd's that came with my Cort's (or my Cort's themselves for that matter) and the one's that came with my Dinky & Charvel were both fine too. With the right set-up you can make a $10.00 Chinese triple-pot metal Floyd stay in tune just fine & sound great for anything...swap out the saddles so they don't break when you tighten them & you're good to go...

Would'nt be surprised if that came out of a Cort factory actually...they had a pretty sweet Ibby S series/RGA type slim design that came out a couple of years ago which looked a bit similar..

Well, look at this...a real 1/4" tiger maple cap of the sort that would cost mega-$$$$$$$$$ if it came from a custom shop & that looks like this on a $200 Chinese guitar (includes free worldwide shipping)

And anyone with doubts regarding what it sounds like ..just head on over to tips & clips

..not saying $3000 won't get someone a great guitar...but be open-minded & look around a bit and so will $300 :bigthumb:

Some of us have a taste for quality. hAiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

I don't mind cheap hardtails its mostly those dirt cheap floyds you see. I also can't stand really cheap machine heads.

Schaller and gotoh for me.

As for bodies, necks etc i have seen ''some'' good ones on chinese guitars.

Well, look around & you'll get all the quality your lordship wants >$600 ...upgrade parts a bit & you'll get even more for not much more $$

I mean you might miss out on the recessed ebony magnetic control cavity cover (can't do w/o those!) ...but not much else

Well that Grote has mini Grover ones that are pretty sturdy & it's a super stable guitar tuning-wise. You do get the the really crappy ones though. Not a massive fan of the really cheap ebay floyds either, but push comes to shove they will work. Guitar Fetish and upward you get some pretty decent copies that work fine. I think the Floyd Specials do a great job too..

There are actually "lots" of killer looking bodies (even 'just bodies' for $50-70 or so..) that I've come across over the last couple of years...necks too. It's bull**** that they are'nt dried properly and sound like crap ..they're just as good as anything. Listen to all the Chibson Vs. Gibson video's out there..

I actually wish they'd stop doing the whole fake Gibson/PRS thing and make more of their own stuff ..like the Grote. ....such a sexXxy axe by any standards :bigthumb:
