Mix update -- first pass

I posted this clip the other day, which is my first pass at the first song I am mixing for my next album. This is drums & bass:



Tonight I did a couple of small fixes to the bass and drums (mostly the gating on the drums and a couple of minor EQ tweaks) and brought up the synth tracks.

Here's the same section with synths added; same as before, all mono, zero'd faders.

I like the track with all the tracks up! some crazy floydian zappa hot rats type stuff dude, ROCK! dig the harmonies too, how did you round up the singer?

Thanks for listening and feeding back! Singer is a local session guy whom I heard and thought, hmm I bet he would sound great on the new album ... and I think I was right!

I agree! I got the next batch of vocal tracks from him today for the second song, The Mutineers. It has more of a Rainbow/Dio thing going on in the choruses; I think you will dig it! First pass of that coming ... soon isn lol.
