Mixing metal with weird delay guitars

Re: Mixing metal with weird delay guitars

I dig. Really wish it were an entire song. I kept hearing parts where I was like "OKay the vocals should come in...NOW"...but they didn't. And then it was over. :( Still, cool stuff.

Cheers for checking it out :D

Yeah, it's not finished yet, but I decided to abandon programming the drums and get some guitars layered over the first 2 minutes to see if the concept was going to work.

I can't sing to save my life, but I'd probably have clean vocals over it if there were going to be any

Yeah, I probably should take a tiny bit of highs out of the cymbals lol.

Cheers for checking it out :)

Re: Mixing metal with weird delay guitars

Sounds really cool. How did you record the rhythm - double tracking? Or if it's delay doing that, could you explain a bit more?

Re: Mixing metal with weird delay guitars

The delay guitars are the trem picked "melody" lines over the top of the rhythm. The delay was put pre instead of post.

The rhythm was doulble tracked.

Guitar port was used for all guitar sounds :)
