Mixing Rails/duckbuckers with regular single coils

From the strat thread, I gather this could give problems?
I've ordered a Vintage Rails for the bridge of my MIM strat, because it's sounds most like the real thing, but without the hum. Plan is too use this with some kind of 50's single coil in the other two positions, but is this possible?

Yes it is possible to do, just know that you won't be hum cancelling in the #4 position (bridge/mid).
