Modding a Boss Blues Driver?

An acquaintance of mine gave me a Blues Driver that he thought was useless because the input jack was broken. I replaced it. It's decent as is, but I hear with certain mods that it can be made into an amazing pedal. What mods do y'all have? I've never done any work on a pedal before, so I thought this would be a nice place to start.

You should be able to find documentation of the Keeley mod online, that’s the most famous I’d say. From there you’ve got Analogman and Monte Allums. Although I think most of them are just trying to remove a bit of the harshness from the higher gain settings and maybe add a little more bass.

I did some research and could not find anything regarding a how to do the specific mods. I found all three of the companies you listed advertising kits for their mods, but no where could I find anything DIY. I'm trying to keep it cheap so I don't waste too much money I'd anything goes wrong.

I own a Keeley-modified BD-2, made a good OD pedal into a fantastic OD pedal, a permanent member of my main pedalboard....
