Sooooooo... As I learned about my Modern Player Telecaster Plus, modding these new MP guitars is NOT straightforward due to the polarity/wind issues inherent in Fender modern pickups. Since Fender themselves can't tell me, does anyone know what the polarity and wrap is on this guitar? Otherwise, I will just replace ALL 3 pickups with SD's. If I do, here is what I'd like:
Position 1: Bridge Hum
Position 2: Bridge Hum and Middle SC Hum(series)
Position 3: Middle Hum (SC size)
Position 4: Middle Hum and Neck HB (series)
Position 5: Neck Hum
Now here is the twist: I want to add 2 mini switches.
Switch 1: Split the bridge humbucker, so that in position 2, front coil and middle are series
Switch 2: Split the neck humbucker so that in position 4, the rear coil and middle are series
Also, how can I add a "master" switch to combine the bridge and neck hums in series???
