Modding a Russian EH Big Muff for True Bypass?

Hey guys.

I've owned a Russian Big Muff (black casing with chickenhead knobs) for a few years now, but only recently got it back after a long term 'loan' to the bassist in my band.

I'd almost forgotten what the pedal sounds like and have 're-discovered' the tone of the pedal, but hate how much it sucks the tone when it's switched off. So was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible/difficult to mod the pedal for true bypass switching?

Thanks for any info.

Craig

So no-one has any advice or info at all?! :(

PS My Russian muff IS already true bypass. You may want to use a buffered pedal in front and compare, or use way shorter cables.

I've tried the Big Muff in a loop of my True Bypass box and there's a noticeable difference between when the box is bypassed and when it isn't.

I think I'll give a new switch a go :)
