Ceramic pickups are something now worth advertising?

Well I've got a set of Epiphone AlNiCo V Classics out of a '99 Samick built Joe Pass Emperor II.
I put S.D. APH II's in the hollowhody and really pull off Nugent with rhat guitar

Good to go! I've got a Gibson SG in that Worn Brown and love it.

Re: Modding €pi SG VE

I always crack up when I see Gibson and Epi call it a "worn" finish. It is actually nothing at all like a true worn finish but rather just a very thin satin finish. It's a very simple and cheap way to finish a guitar, but it looks OK. Sometimes I actually even like that satin look.

Nice looking guitar...I bet the ceramic stock pick ups sound somewhat like Gibson's "Dirty Fingers" pups.;)

Re: Modding €pi SG VE

Axe arrived today.
Big label on box says let it acclimatize for 24 hours before opening.
So no joy until tomorrow.

I love the way it looks in the stock photo. Screw waiting, R.I.P. that thing open.

Cool! What mods do you have in mind?

I might get a used Epi SG this weekend (along with other stuff included in the price).

What mods do you have in mind? I have a couple of sets of pickups that I want to try on mine...
