Modeling Gain

I´ve been messin around with a behringer V-tone gmx212.

I know it´s a modeling amp but they claim it´s a True Analog Modeling, is it true?


My question is, in ss amps you will always use pre amp gain, because ss Power amp saturation would SUCK really bad, am i right? Different from a tube p.a.

In a SS design, 100% of your tone is coming from the preamp. Poweramp distortion would indeed sound freaking horrible.

Hell, unrelated, but I prefer a clean (but still tube) poweramp anyways. Not a fan of powertube distortion.
