Modified blower switch (4 way Tele + middle pickup)

I have a Tele Plus, which originally had a middle Strat pickup. Currently, I have it setup with a 4 way switch for adding neck & bridge series, and no middle pickup.

The control plate has a spot for a mini toggle, and I'm wondering if I could do a blower switch that could switch between the pickups and volume/tone controls, and a middle pickup going straight to the output. So, in one position, I have my 4 way Tele with controls, the other a middle Strat pickup.

That'd be easy to do with a mini DPDT or SPDT. Center lug wired to the output jack, one outer lug gets the output from the volume pot and the other gets the hot lead from your middle pickup. You'll need to connect the other lead of the middle pickup to ground somewhere too.

Edit - you'll probably want to use a two-position mini switch though - no center position.
Though a center-off one could act as a killswitch...

Edit (another thought): If you used an on-on-on switch, middle position would combine the floored middle pickup with the signal from your switch & pots. The volume knob wouldn't affect the middle pickup, obviously, but it would act as a blender pot. Might be pretty usable.
