Modified Everything Axe set?

Looking for pickups for my Iby roadcore. I was considering an Everything Axe set, but started thinking too hard about it.

What I'm now thinking is the JB jr Bridge with a classic stack plus middle (STK-S4m) which is RWRP. The thought being I could auto-split the JB in the 2 position and get the normal strat hum free sound. I'm thinking this should give a classic strat 2 position quack and a hum free sound in the middle. Anyone else do this? How did it work out?

Still working out ideas for the neck pickup...

Personally, I think the duckbucker is supposed to have a great quack, even with a JB jr. If you want better quack, I'd get a 5-way super switch and wire positions 2 and 4 to put the JB jr and lil 59 into parallel. It will brighten them up a lot, give a better quack, and also still be noise cancelling.

I don't have an everything set, but I do have two demons and a duck. At some point, I'm going to swap the neck demon for another duck. The one tone I feel like I'm missing is that classic strat neck sound.

That's why I'm looking at the setup I am: JB jr bridge - a good high output humbucker for rocking out, a classic stack plus middle (STK-S4m) for strat clean and to quack and clean up when in the notch positions, and a somewhat hot noiseless neck that can rock but clean up well. An HSS.

With this setup, in the 2 position with auto split you'll get a two single coils with hum cancelling. The 3 position would be a bright single coil sound, the 4 position would be two single coils as would the neck.

I sent SD's support an email. I'm curious what they'll say about the classic stack plus middle (STK-S4m), which is noise cancelling and RWRP, in the middle. What guitars like the JEM (HSH) do is not only split the coil on the bridge Humbucker, but also split the coils on noiseless stack. Ergo, in auto split you will really end up with two single coils, a single coil from the bridge on the bucker, and the main coil (as opposed to the lower weak noise cancelling one), in the middle. The same concept can be applied to as HSH. In fact, you need to split the coils like this to get hum cancelling in the 2 and 4 position.

I don't even believe you need RWRP in the middle now that I'm thinking as I'm writing. Particularly on a strat sized bucker. That's because with the small strat pups it really doesn't matter which coil I tap in the humbucker. They're so close the difference in sound is negligible. If there's hum just swap which humbucker coil you're splitting to. It may make more of a difference with a full size bucker.

I am not a fan of the Little humbuckers split. I think they sound better in parallel. Those small coils don't do it for me, although I like regular humbuckers split. I'd say before you start splitting anything, try it full on with the middle stack full on. It will still be quiet, and it will still get some quack in there because that is what the Classic Stack does.
