Re: Mooretone guitars
I have two Mooretone strat-style guitars: one I found after six months of searching on Craig's list and the second Mike made for me. The first is a three-tone sunburst, the second a vintage white. They are both outstanding, especially since he figured out a new method of shielding the pickups from RF interference - hand-would pickups, BTW. The quality and craftsmanship is outstanding. I understand Mike has given up the business in frustration from harrassment by Fender's lawyers (I hope this wrong). We had a quite a few long and enjoyable conversations before I left New Jersey. I'd love to hear from him if he's still around out there. He built me a 50-watt Fender twin type amp with a quite a few innovations , too. Jim
