More Celtic Amp P@RN

Re: More Celtic Amp P@RN

Oh Oh, Now I am going to want another Celtic Amp.

Nice work Scott!

Yes, I do need to see those knobs on stage.

Re: More Celtic Amp P@RN

I didn't mean to insult you if you potentially took it that way. I just know that being 16 is tough financially for most. It says a lot about you that you 1) work a lot and 2) pay for your own insurance. Keep up the good work.

At 16 you can still bum off family members...

Now when you're over 18, that's when money gets tight and you're thankful to see that $5 in your wallet when you're hungry lol. That is until you have an actual career.

Anyway, your stuff is far from expensive. Nearly anyone who is serious about their gear can afford to get something from you. I salute you for that! To get something in the same quality range you build would cost more than alot of people's cars.

So, I gotta say the wine knobs looks great, but I"m really concerned about it the little white pointer lines are going to show up well enough on stage...

Re: More Celtic Amp P@RN

I love Celtic amp porn. You should do this once a week...or better yet, put them all in a Calendar!

Re: More Celtic Amp P@RN

Hey Scott, I've got an off topic question? Do you build your cabs? I'm looking for a custom built combo cab, I've already got the chassis I want to use. Do you know of anybody who would do one if you don't? Sorry for the off the wall post.

Re: More Celtic Amp P@RN

On the cab front, I do not do woodworking! :) I know my limitations in life. Electrons are good, tolex is bad....

Go to the WeberVST forums. Click on the enclosures section. At the top are a ton of guys that do custom work. Some are rather pricey, but you tend to get what you pay for in this world.

Just curious, what chassis you have. What is the length of the cut out? How many speakers? It might be something that fits into one of mine and if that's the case, I'd be happy to get you one.

Re: More Celtic Amp P@RN

i use the cannabis rex in my bf dlx and i think its a great match for the fender sound.

thats a pretty looking box for sure!!

Re: More Celtic Amp P@RN

Don't like the matchless tone or the style? Just curious.

This is a blackface amp stuck in a matchless/badcat style enclosure.

Re: More Celtic Amp P@RN

Hey, just put phosphorescent paint on the little white lines.

Then it won't just be the tubes glowing....

Re: More Celtic Amp P@RN

I really dig buggywhip tolex. Good looking stuff right there. I'd like to see a buggywhip tolex amp with a blonde quilted maple faceplate. That would be pimpin. Not as pimpin as crushed velvet, but pimpin all the same. Good looking amp Scott_F.

Re: More Celtic Amp P@RN

Urgh fuzzy amps:D
Don't like the matchless tone or the style?
They are not my thing, the EL-84 based ones sounds to refined for that raw Vox sound, and most of the amps are reacting bad to pedals, the only Matchless I really have digged was the Phoenix, very Marshall like!
