More Praise for the SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic

Re: More Praise for the SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic

Well deserved. :notworthy The only "con" they could come up with was no midrange control? Ha! I guess they needed to put something in there, rather than leave it blank. (I would've left it blank-no guts, no glory) The funniest part is in the Tonebone review above it, the con is "All those controls take time to dial!" Make up yer mind, Eric!:laugh2:

Yep great read...as for the mids....turn down treble and bass.....what is left?? Mids;)
I hope to get one of those one of these days:D
My birthday is sadly up soon!!
Maybe I should make my headshaking family a wish...the pedalmaker...he wants a pedal:D

Re: More Praise for the SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic

The only problem that I have with these pedals is...

I purchased the Tonebone trimode before the SFX-03 was being sold to the public. - I blame Evans for this situation!

Give me a discount, Evans!

My thoughts exactly!:laugh2: This unit could hold it's own with out tone controls. Having a Bass and Treble control is like a added bonus! Does your amp have a Mid knob? BINGO! Your back in business as for your EQ settings.:smack: DUH!

That was a glowing review! "The Seymour Duncan SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic is a little masterpiece of tube tone". I can see this quote making into an ad for the SFX-03!

Don't worry it's worth the wait! Evan already explained it because of new European regulations on electronics that 's causing the problem Exporting them. Not SD's fault.:)

Re: More Praise for the SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic

I'll definitely pick one of these up when my old band gets back together. Been dyin to try one out.

Re: More Praise for the SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic

This pedal is unbelievable. I am retiring my POD XT for recording only. This pedal just sounds good with minimal tweaking. I don't think it needs a mid control. I think both channels are voiced perfect for rhythm and lead. Best Overdrive I have ever used. Calling it an overdrive is even kinda of an understatement. I am plugging it into solid state stuff, and this thing is delivering the tone!

True. It's the RoHS directive and it's a major pain in the behind. If you want to read what we're up against, click here. We got a few non-RoHS units into the EU prior to July 1. We have a few hundred RoHS-compliant units here in Santa Barbara, being tested as we speak. These will all be in the EU by next month this time.

The first shipment is bound to go fast, so get your orders in to your local music stores now.

To our Euro-bros, thanks for your patience. It'll be worth the wait. But really, this RoHS directive that you guys are imposing on us is a major hassle. I guarantee we hate it more than you. Talk to your elected officials. Please.

Haha my post wasn't all too serious anyway in the first place, so it's ok... I'll try one out as soon as they land... I would be praticulary interested in the ultra low gain sounds it delivers... hmm

Re: More Praise for the SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic

Anybody wanna sell theirs?????:?::question:

Re: More Praise for the SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic

Evan,
Was their a shipmet of them that sold in Europe a few months ago? because a friend of mine has been using his for a few months now..

Re: More Praise for the SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic

Bugger RoHs!!!
We hate it too!!
Same with the leadfree solderwire...man my soldertips are being eaten by the minute, because of that stuff!
Free trade!!!
FREE!!!
Let the market regulate itself!

Re: More Praise for the SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic

WHOA!!!!!

Quite a conservative viewpoint there, Niels.:D

Re: More Praise for the SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic

Well it is only common sense to let it just do that, all those silly regulations and intrest groups are just ruining it for the rest of us!!
Too bad politics is such messy afair, maybe more comon sense would be more...erm common;)

Re: More Praise for the SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic
