Hey guys,
last week i posted here about where should my 12Au7s go. (Crate Blue Voodoo 60 combo amp)
That one is solved. Mailed the guys at Crate/Loud and they got back to me after awhile.
Now i got another problem. The new tubes are in
2 x 6L6, 4 x 12AX7, 1 x 12AU7
Yesterday, the amp worked for about 10 secs. Then it seems that output was cut by about 50% (volume was a 8, but sounds like it was at 2)
Today, the amp started squealing.... and the tubes behind got really really hot within 5 min.
Anyone know whats wrong? or i should just dump this amp and go for another?
Previously before i changed tubes, it was fine...
i was using 5881s instead of 6L6s for the power tubes.
