Mosky BP Booster

Did not like it! Got one to replace my Pure Boost (RC Booster) Mooer. Just too many knobs and the output is the only thing I really want to edit, and it uses one of those tiny little knobs....so I went for a straight up 1 knob version.

Took all the hair/definition right off my Moore Solo! Have not goofed with internal Dip switches yet. We'll see... Not a bad experiment for $25, but major dissappointment.


Perhaps a real Xotic or a Katana mini? Stay tuned.

The BP booster is the copy of the EP booster?

Depending on how much boost vs EP flavor you want there are other choices. For EP like flavor you can check Clinch FX, Chase Tone and Henretta. And I guess Dunlop.

I just got an MXR mini booster (this was before your MXR bashing pedalboard review lol) which combines the EP preamp and a Micro Amp. You may want to check it out. Haven’t tried it yet.

Too big. Small one might work.

- Right input high, left output low
- Cheap...because Mooer board is a bonus

Do you care about EP, Micro amp, clean or dirty, transparent or treble flavor for the boost? They are different beasts. Some work with some gear, others don’t.

That’s a great recommendation. Super flexible. Too bad the mini version doesn’t have most of those features.

This looks really cool. I'm so glad they've went to true-bypass on all their newer releases. This should check all Ace's boxes at a good price.
It also has an internan control for setting the amount of gain. (gain is on the EP side of the circuit I assume.

the TC Spark mini is quite cheap too and you can do momentary boosts.

I got loud. I use my boosts to make my signal hotter and to add touch sensitivity.

I like to use a clean boost post distortion w/ pedals for a solo boost. I'm already using a hot enough signal.
