Most Epic Bad@$$ Axes of all time

Re: Most Epic Bad@$$ Axes of all time

But this one was made with real python skin:

I tried to find some pix of Neal Schon's LP back in the 80s when he was about the only LP guy wankin' on a Floyd but couldn't turn up anything from back in the day.

I don't have a pic of his LP, but here's a pic of Neil's PRS Semi-Hollow with a floyd rose.

Farm-raised python skin.

Ha! Well I stand corrected:

From the Partaker Website:
What do you get when you cross a fly with a snake? In this case, a killer limited edition rocker!
A limited run of Parker Fly Mojo guitars with genuine python snakeskin tops. This is not a paint job — it's real python snake skin carefully hand-fitted to the top of each guitar before the finish sealer coat is applied. The snakes used for these guitars are not endangered. They are farm raised for commercial use.

I'm thinking the finish and paint around it "tobacco-burstish" is what makes it look fake (to me at least.)

Wayne Charvel wraps the entire body with Python Leather without a clear coat finish.

I dig the real Python leather but don't care for the paint jobs or that Parker with the finish/clear coat over it...looks cheap IMO

This ormsby inlay masterpiece is great.

Post a picture of gary moores gold top. it looks like every other gold top but the sheep should like it.

Re: Most Epic Bad@$$ Axes of all time

the only thing on par with the shinobi is Newcenstein's jackson collection

Thanks for the vote, but while they definitely conform to the "long and drawn out" definition, and I love them to death, I don't see any of them as being Epic on par with say Randy's Concorde or the 5-neck Hamer.

Except maybe the WarAngel

The case is actually epic in its own right, not only in size (bigger than a bass case or my G&G 7-string case), but in the fact that Jackson upgraded it to white tolex and gold piping for free.

Cost $185 to ship it from Texas to Tennessee. It weighs more than the guitar that came in it
I swear you could put pickups and strings on the case and get great tone from it.

Re: Most Epic Bad@$$ Axes of all time

I'd like to know how we got to page 7 and haven't seen this one yet.... I'll post it even though newcenstein is being shy.

This is what badass means.

I'd also add for consideration this well abused yellow axe. It's probably been played by half the musicians across the world over its horrid life.

Re: Most Epic Bad@$$ Axes of all time

I missed this. What? A real live meteorite in the middle? Bet it costs a fortune or two.

Yup, an actual chunck of meteorite in the middle UFO/Flying Saucer looking thing. See this article about it here...and yea, its super expensive...to the tune of $13,999.99

EDIT: You will have to scroll thru the pics to get to it...I thought by saving the URL Link at the exact picture would keep y'all from doing it...oh well.

Description: Contains an actual piece of a meteor in the central chamber, distinguishing it from all of the guitars that don't contain a piece of meteor in a central chamber.
