Most eye-grabbing single colour for guitar

Okay, let us play a small game (which may or may not eventually result in the finish on a new guitar). Imagine that the year is 1987 and you've been won a prize to have your beat up superstrat repainted in a single colour. Your glam band is on the verge of reaching the top echelons of the LA scene, and you want something that is going to grab people's attention, something that isn't available stock on any of the common stock models. What would you go for? The only criterion is that it is a single colour, and that there is no fancy maple top involved. The colour should be a solid, but it may be a candy apple colour, chameleon colour or something else fancy if you like.

it was that color changing metal flake thingy they did

it would glitter in different spectrums

You described my life in 1989, literally, and I'll tell you that I F'ing hate dayglow, pink, yellow, neon green, pastels, etc. Why? because it dates you to the cheesiest period in R&R history....a few short years when looking like a woman was in style.

As a classic car lover, besides my love of flametop bursts, my interest lies in the exotic car finishes.....silver, shoreline gold, metallic blue, metallic charcoal, gold tops, candy red, candy tangerine, satin black, sonic gray, black w/gold dust, metallic sienna, etc.

I hate those 80's finishes and graphics, because I saw enough of it to make me sick of it. Look at what guys from that era like Phil X, Pete Thorn, teenage Bonamassa, Timmons, John 5, and Doug Rappoport are using.
It's not that CC Deville/Vai tacky shlt.

My wife even saw me scrolling through this thread, noticed the pictures, and screamed Eewwww. "Don't even think of buying an ugly 80's POS like that!" hahaha I'm so proud that her taste usually mirrors mine!
