Re: Most Hated

Those things are fun pastimes! I'm with all the posts about schlepping gear. I feel for you guys who gig in cold weather, but I live in the hottest corner of hell. There's nothin that sucks more than taking inventory, loading the truck, , fighting traffic, stressing about things getting messed up, the pre gig scramble, looking like a bucket of sweat before you even hit the first note, the post gig scramble, taking a last inventory, re-loading the truck, driving back to the studio drunk off your ass, unloading the truck back into the rehearsal space, then driving home at 3:45 in the morning.

Changing strings and polishing a guitar???? WTF???? LOL

Re: Most Hated

of the choices string changing.. but other than that, as mentioned by others - lugging the gear around... at least I'm not a drummer though...

Re: Most Hated

I don't have any issues with any of those things. I enjoy any opportunity I have to play with a guitar.

Carrying amp racks that weight 100 pounds...and bass bins...freezing my butt off at 3-4am while unloading gear back into the practice hall. It's all part of playing the guitar. Damn I need a #$@%#ing roadie!
+1 ... single worse buzzkill about playing live is all the physical 'work' before and after ... i have even had it kill my buzz during my last solo for the night in an encore knowing that i was only a few minutes away from humping heavy gear up stairs, into the rainy night, across the parking lot to the truck ....

Re: Most Hated

changing strings was mine calculating the string length cutting it putting it in making it stay have those wires stab ur fingers like a needle and bounce all over the place then the after tuning is more troublesome and frequent but wats worse then all that is switching and experimenting with diffrent string brands and types and after going through all that hating the sound so changing strings in that sense is the worst
