Not a cliche but a bit funny

An ad from seller
- good guitar but out of tune
- it was like that when I bought it

Talk about innosense and new to guitar. :D

I was looking for a cheap mod platform axe, and saw a 1-star Amazon review complaining that the guitar was "COMPLETELY OUT OF TUNE! UNPLAYABLE!!!!"

Not really a cliche as such, but something I see a lot and much more since this whole quarantine thing started...

"I am happy to ship at the buyers expense"

Gee, thanks for your generosity. Sure, I'd expect the buyer to pay for shipping, but don't make out like you're them doing a huge favour, pal.

"Never gigged with"
"Used in a smoke-free studio"

When the owner relics his guitar by himself, then tries selling it for more money.
“Custom relic job, done by me”
I’ve seen sellers do relic jobs on purpose with the sole intention of selling the guitar for more money. Yea, way to **** up the guitar bud.

Synchronized tremolo

...yeah right, I get it. Earliest truth in marketing? Mmm...

Can be hung on the wall at "insert music store name."

I've got an honest reply for when a couple of times I've had to sell "the best guitar I've ever owned".

"I overextended myself in good times and now I can't pay rent during hard times"

Fortunately I've wised up over the years and haven't had to say this in quite some time

It takes a lot of magical words to sell a 3-foot power cord for more than the price of a Fender American Pro.

Exactly. They are *the* worst, and their out-of-this-world prices prove it. $1750 power cable? Holy ****

I saw an ad in the early 2Ks that was selling balsa wood knobs for stereos... I think it was 4 in a pack for like $500... along
with the usual BS magical words..

BTW I'm gonna borrow that link... :13:
