Most underrated 'Duncan?

What is your choice for 'Duncan's most underrated offering that you think kills?

Mine is the S-Deco.This humble mid output tone machine doesn't even have a place on the new Custom shop
site, yet everyone I let try one of my Deco loaded axes remarks how good they sound. If it were a production model, or more widely known, 'Duncan would sell a ton.

Lets hear yours!

Pearly Gates bridge. The neck model gets a lot of praise, but there's not as much talk about the bridge model, which is a pretty awesome pickup.

The parallel axis pickups don't seem to get a lot of attention either.

Live Wire Classic II humbuckers.

Custom.

It gets plenty of usage by users here, but it really should be the stock pickup installed in all the mahogany bodied guitars from Schecter / ESP rather than the JB.

Jazz Model Bridge

+1 The jazz bridge is a great pu

I haven't tried all the models but the ones I like that I don't hear as much about are the A2 59/custom hybrid, the hot for tele bridge, and the jazz bridge.

I have to agree with you here. Even amongst forum brothers it's a bit overlooked IMHO. Mostly due to its magnet being ceramic. Killer pick-up and yes, I often wondered as well why it wasn't the default pick-up in mahogany guitars that come with Duncans.

I have to give a vote here to the PG bridge as well. Killer in les Pauls. Roll the tone back a smidge for rythm work and open it full for leads. That thing was great from rock to metal when I had it in my LTD ec-1000 many moons ago.

Might be highly rated to some, but the Screamin Demon is going to be my choice. It is such an awesome neck pickup that I feel it is only advertised for 50% of its awesomeness. It responds extremely well to the volume knob, can be super clean and yet still get some awesome growling tones as well.

Re: Most underrated 'Duncan?

With how good the PATB sounds you'd think it would be a best seller as opposed to a relatively obscure pickup. Hot For Tele is my go to pickup, as is the Full Shred.

Re: Most underrated 'Duncan?

I gotta go with my man Jolly on this one. The Jazz bridge and really even the Jazz neck suffer a bit from the Jazz title I think. These pickups are amazing and can really do it all! I really love the Jazz bridge too though, it's one of the best pickups I've ever used!
