Mounting a Duncan Pickup Booster directly into a Strat

Hello,
I recently aquired a Duncan pickup booster pedal and love it. The P/U resonance switch really makes a difference.

However, as I prefer the sound with this unit placed AFTER my O/D pedal (using as a signal boost, more gain for lead passages), I must forfeit the resonance switch functionality. For those who don't know, the resonance switch is ONLY effective when the pedal is placed 1st in your pedal chain, with a direct connection to the guitar. Does not work when using a wireless. I use a wireless (am a clutz and trip over cables, LOL).

My question is: how feasible would it be to mount the guts of the pedal directly into the guitar? I'm thinking, possibly, replace one of the volume pots/knobs with the rotary control on the pedal, maybe change the switch to something a little less obvious, and of course make the resonance switch such that it would protrude above the pickguard (I play strats mostly).

I still like the pedal as a final gain boost in the chain, but am thinking of snagging another one and trying this little mod. Anyone have any knowledge of this pedal and whether it'd work?

Thanks!

You could, but in my opinion the amount of wood you'd have to remove, etc, makes it not really worth it.

You can get the real thing w/D-TAR/as found in the firestorm jacksons, I believe.

Thanks for all your replies. I checked out the circuit you guys linked to - the dern thing doesn't include the Pickup Resonance switch, which, to me, is the best reason to install this. Arrrrgh!!!!!!!

I mailed them, though, hopefully they'll reply with a solution. Honestly, when I was experimenting with the pedal and this switch, it was a very cool difference! Something I definitely want.....
