mounting rings for humbuckers in my jazzmaster

So I bought some seymour duncans to throw in my jazzmaster and I'm wondering what mounting rings will fit these humbuckers. I have a JB and a Jazz Humbucker. The JB will go in the bridge and the Jazz will go in the neck. Should I pick up some of those standard gibson mounting rings or is there a specific size/brand i need to get?

sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm new to this type of stuff.

thanks,
adam

welcome to the forum!!

any standard ring should work as long as it isnt too tall. you probably want two neck size rings, as the bridge ring on a les paul tends to be taller than youll need

If I'm not mistaken, the hole in the pickguard will be much wider than the pickups...

look how they fit on this one

unless you want the sonic youth style get a new pickguard:D perhaps even cut it so you can mount the pickups in it for a cleaner, more fender type look. The pickups should be able to easily be mounted on the body anyways (as the originals did) which means you don't really need rings... only a cosmetic need, only if you feel it needs them;)
