Mozart - Rondo Allla Turca

nuntius

Boogeyman of Tone
I decided to learn this piece yesterday because my mum was playing it on the piano and I thought it'd sound cool on guitar.

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=109785&songID=3924572

I found the backing at www.guitarbt.com

Unfortunately it's not the full piece of music, and it's a little slower than I want to get it to tempo-wise (not that I can play it flawlessly at this tempo just yet anyway haha...)

Btw, is there an Extreme song that starts off with the first few bars of this piece?

Or am I thinking of the wrong band?

Nuni:D
Hehehe I was actually listening to Mozarts symphony no:23;)
Hmm Extreme used Flight of the bumblebee, that is Paganini I think.
Most cool, my cousin and I used to practise violin lines from his various symphonies, great way to learn harmonies:D
Liked the idea, even though it is slightly heretic in nature:D

I've probably heard it but can't remember right now which it is.

I was brought up with the Classic FM radio station in the car for most trips until my early teens... Not that I was ever paying much attention to the music, I didn't like it much back then.

My mum is an ex-opera singer so that's why the radio was 'stuck' on that channel..

Cheers for checking it out :smokin:

That Extreme song is Come Play with Me.

BTW, Ive been practicing that two handed version for over year and still havent gotten it down perfectly:D .

Re: Mozart - Rondo Allla Turca

Have you got a copy of the sheet music that you could share with us? It sounds really cool :bigthumb:

Re: Mozart - Rondo Allla Turca

i always play it with my band as show opener. My guitar palyer plays all the way with tappings ,and we play it reallly fast. It's nice to hear guitar players to cover classic stuff.I love classical music ,it is real heavy metal!!!

Re: Mozart - Rondo Allla Turca

Very cool! You´ve got plenty of control over the guitar..that makes it sound very professional..good timing is essential..even if you play slow it sounds better than a rushed fast part.

Re: Mozart - Rondo Allla Turca

damn, young gun ... what killer chops and tone on display here !!! ... such clean defined picking without becoming robotic ... lots of note-to-note personality/dynamics

thanks for sharing it

- I've taken photos of the sheet music... The version I've posted above doesn't include all the parts of the sheet music - the backing track I found was pretty short. I've also ad-libbed in a few places (obviously guitar string bends weren't a part of Mozart.. the end few notes are just what I came up with to end the clip, I didn't play the thirds etc)

exactly!

more players should take examples out of classical music and incorporate it into heavy fukkin metal!

and i dont mean the 2000 paganini/yngwie clones out there. while awesome, it gets repetitive after a while.

Re: Mozart - Rondo Allla Turca

Jeez, I could never get something like that nailed like that! Great job and the tone sits exactly where I like it for this type of stuff! :bigthumb:
