joe, is that the amp i played scott's R8 thru at the UGD jam?

if so, good god almighty that is one incredible amp ... i know that the R8 w/ ants was special, but OMG when i hit that simple A chord with some crunch and i felt it in my chest, i knew it was gonna be a fun time ... playin a simple stones tune has never been so fun ... of course, i didnt set it to 'scorch' for that kinda tune, but the crunch was so happenin, and then rollin back the guitar volume knob for clean was really quite impressive

yeah boys, if you can ever play one of these, you gotta give it a go

Kind of hi-jacking the thread but still pro-Bogner-

Have you played a 6L6 Shiva combo w/Alnico speakers (I'm not sure what were in the one I played but they definitely WEREN'T Alnico's), GearJoneser and if so were the cleans "warm and fat"?

Very cool, it is true that there are few people in the business world like that, I know Seymour Duncan is one, and Rienhold sounds very cool, and down to earth.

I can honestly say no one has made me want to buy a XTC more than Gearjoneser.

The bottom line, at the end of the day, is that the Ecstasy Classic is probably the most perfectly designed amp at the entire show, and it'd be a fun experiment to put all the amps up next to each other. I'm pretty sure that silver faced XTC behind him would take the medal.

how's the feel and compression on the classic compared to the 101b?

I've only had real experience with the Shiva and I left my experience with it in full belief that it is the most perfect amp ever created on the planet and someday I must have one
