the ceramic is cool, they used it on the modulus flea models. i absolutly love the two coil alnico musicman pup that duncan makes. ive used it on a few basses and it never ceases to impress me how versitle it is. i usually wire it to a series/split/parallel switch and can get anything from a snarky jazz bass tone to the fattest thumpiest rumble youve ever heard

+1 ....They don't get a lot of press but they are great MM replacement pickups. The Duncan tone circuits are also under rated IMHO.
