I've got an Axis Super Sport MM90 and I love it. The neck is insane and it definitely has its own sound that I really like. The necks are incredibly smooth and offer a range of playing I wish the rest of my guitars had.

But the neck is more narrow than usual so try before you buy
If it had strat specs than it would be easier to tell you to go for it

The main difference between the models is the bridge but you can also have different pups.

Axis = floyd rose + maple fingerboard.
Axis super sport = vintage tremolo or hardtail. you also have the choice of P-90s with these along with a rosewood fingerboard.
Ball Family Reserve = prettier woods. I've played quite a few EBMM and own one. There is no quality increase on the BFRs vs. the regulars because the regulars are too good to make it possible.
There are also limited edition versions of the axis like the all rosewood ones mentioned above.
