MusicMan SUB 1 guitars!

Just picked up one of these used but in mint condition. Excellent quality like all MusicMan`s stuff is!! Best American made guitar out there for the price IMO! Any other SUB 1 owners in here? :smokin:

great guitars- i have an erine ball silo special and was looking at the sub1's as well. as far as i heard they were discontinued, so get em while you can.

It`s a textured finish! Very durable and doesn`t leave fingerprints,dirt,ect.. which i like alot!!!!

I think they have been discontined but they are still available to purchase at Musician`s Friend and some other online stores.

SUBs are killer guitars, they're good out of the box and they're great "modders" as well. I thought about getting one for a while but the opportunity to buy another Silhouette Special came by and I got that instead.

Come to think of it, I should really take pics of my Silos (and the rest of my rig, for that matter) and get 'em up here. It's been a while.

I just picked up a set of DiMarzio`s to put in my SUB. The stock pups are decent but the DiMarzio`s are gonna put this guitar over the top! EBMM rules!!!!!!

+1 man, wanna see these guitars. I've only played 2 ernie ball guitars, and both of them axis. Very nice IMO. worth the cash

Here's a pic of me playing my silver one with a rosewood board...

I got stalled in converting it to an HH setup with a matte black guard... need to finish that, it's been a few months!

I have another one that's SSS with a maple board, a dark pewter colored body, and an abalone guard. Beautiful instrument... I'll have to take some pics of it tomorrow in sunlight.

I eventually traded for one, in a flip-flop paint color called Cinnamon. Still absolutely love it. I did swap the pickups though- it is a very mid-heavy guitar.

This is my new SUB guitar, it just happens to be the US made EBMM bass:

The neck arrived with a fair amount of wear:

...so I fixed it by steaming out the dents, stripping it and re-finishing it with Linspeed and Tru Oil:
