Mustang/Duo-Sonic PUP's in a Strat

I've been thinking about this for a while and wonder if anyone else has done it.

I've been thinking of dropping in two Mustang/Duo-Sonic SD HO+15% into a Strat and using the extra knob as a blender and maybe a mid boost kit.

I'm a position two player and always looking for a fat beefy neck tone. The blender pot would be gravy along with a mid-boost kit.

The middle PUP would just be a dummy...

Thoughts??

I am pretty sure it will still sound like a strat. The Duosonic sound has more to do with its scale length and construction than its pickups. I have a 22in Duo and even with SSL-6's it still sounds like a Duosonic rather than a strat. You could just get a three way switch for the strat so you have the bridge and neck together.
