sup guys,

does anyone have any soundclips of the mxr blue box? i want a pedal thatll help me make weird, f-ed up sounds, and im interested in this pedal but i have no idea what it really does. anyone know anything?

I think it takes your signal and lowers it two octaves. Listen to the solo in Zep's Fool in the Rain for an example.

it's a sub octave with a nasty fuzz...Fool in the Rain is an example but to be hoenst it's a pretty mild one!

If you want a nasty example, listen to the Swans first three albums...Norman playing a Blue Box into a cranked V4. I heard that stuff live and it was unbelievably vicious...

If you're looking for f-ed up sounds, a ring modulator will get you there.

I remember talking to Norman and he said that he was tryng to play like Charlie Patton and Howlin' Wolf...wha??? They had two bass players, a drummer, and two more guys beating on 50 gal drums with 2x4's and crowbars.
