MXR Classic Distortion

Anyone else use one of these? I picked it up about a year ago when I was working at Guitar Center for like $19 with my discount. It's just an MXR Distortion III painted black with some stupid pinstripping but for $20 you can't really do better at all. Curious if anyone else has one of these...I think Guitar Center still sells them for less than a DS-1...right next to the Distortion III for $80...:smash:

Re: MXR Classic Distortion

Is that the big, mustard yellow one with four control knobs?

I have fooled around with one, really considered buying it (for the wrong reasons though).

Ultimately, its a pretty nice overdrive pedal, as the name distortion is a misnomer. For that price I wouldn't regret the purchase at all (if you are)! Check out some youtube demos too.

I have one and I like it! It was a pretty great deal. I don't think my local GC has them anymore.
It blows the doors off the DS-1, that's for sure.
I like it in front of the overdrive channel of my amps. If I urn the gain down on the amp and use the Classic Distortion in front of it, the sustain is awesome and the tone is great for classic 80's shred.
