MXR Script reissue Distortion +

Re: MXR Script reissue Distortion +

Wasn't it you who loaned me your early non-LED, block logo D+ last year? It took me a while, but I finally bought one.

Re: MXR Script reissue Distortion +

Well I haven't managed to bag a Script RI but I got this early block logo for a great price considering it's condition, box and instructions. :D

Re: MXR Script reissue Distortion +

I still have my 70's block logo D+ with no power jack connection. It was magic with my Fender Quad Reverb in the 80's, full on metal.

Re: MXR Script reissue Distortion +

I love the D+. I don't really know why I don't have one. There's really nothing else that does what it does.

pinto79 once got me to repair an old block logo (not sure exactly how old it was, but it had a solder-tinned board like the scripts). I replaced the caps and it came back to life. I played it a bunch before giving it back to him and it was really nice going into a clean amp AND a dirty amp, which surprised me. He later sold it - I regret I was not the buyer.

$69 for the script reissue is a stupidly good deal.

Re: MXR Script reissue Distortion +

I just opened my MXR D+ to show you guys the hack I did on it, thank god I did. The foam was totally deteriorated. Time for some TLC.

I didn't want to drill into the chassis to connect the petalboard power so I made a back out of plexiglass. There is a little notch in the back that allows a adaptor to pass through the plexiglass. It worked out perfectly. I still have the original back for when the time comes to restore it to its original beauty.

That's a cool idea. I use a Zvex power plate, but I don't want to spend 30 bucks on 2 more plates each! I may do this. I have a phase 90 and I'm probably going to order this since it's a good price. Even if I don't use it much it'd be cool to add to my phase 90, phase 45 and envelope filter!
