My 3rd string always goes sharp after trem use

Re: My 3rd string always goes sharp after trem use

That's odd because I have a strat with a tree on the b and e and it returns to pitch better than another strat that has no string trees. Then again I have lubricated the tree on that guitar.

Forget what I said about the springs. Making the trem float or stick hard to the back didn't help one bit.

I just removed the string tree for the G and D strings. And guess what? The G string now returns to pitch. :) It's all in the string trees...

Staggered tuners for this one.

Fix your nut with some lubricant.

Also check your bridgework.

You got something stuck in there!~

Good thread here. I came here 'cause of same issue. I have a new Deluxe Roadhouse Strat. It's two-point and has two trees. The G is sharp after tremolo use. I have the D'Addario lube that comes with two applicator thingies. I guess I'll have to grease 'er up in the nut and tree that the G string goes through.
