My all new gear setup!!!

In the past week i have gone from using a peavey bandit 112s with a boss metal zone pedal through its clean channel and using stock pickups, to now using a marshall jcm900 2501 with a bill lawrence L500xl in the bridge with newly ordered tubes 2x el34 svetlana and 3x 12ax7 EH. I've even changed string gauge and brand. I'll let you know how it all sounds when its all fitted which should be in the next few days. I am quite excited. i have never even heard a tube amp with new tubes in before and i have heard good things about the bill lawrence pickup. Should go nicely in my solid mahogony les paul copy, (a very respectable and decent copy i might add!)

Congratulations bro. Sounds like a really good setup, and there is nothing like a good tube amp cranking out the wattage. Be sure to let us know how it sounds!

Wow... that's one heck of an upgrade! Bill Lawrence makes some fine products and I've heard some JCM 900s that weren't slouches either I'm sure you'll love the end result

I have some Bill Lawrence Mini-hums...........you will be very happy with them, although I hear there is a big difference between the new ones & the old ones.

I've just upgraded from my Peavey Bandit too! Its clean channel is so receptive to pedals!!

I've been playin' about 8 years and always had one guitar tone I wanted. I've tried every distortion I could afford over the years to find it and came close with a combination of Keeley TS9DX and Sansamp GT2.

Then one night, insomnia had me browsing the ToneFactor site and I saw the Catalinbread Super Charged Overdrive! I thought what the hell and man I loved it!! I found out it was based on Orange amps!

Two weeks, countless hours web-research, one Orange dealer, and a huge finance agreement later, I had me a 50watt Orange Rockerverb combo! Sweeeeeeeet!! :laugh2:

I have tried loads of tube amps over the years and was always sceptical about how much better tube amps were, but I'd never heard an Orange!

Since I got it, apart from my Stratdeluxer Wah and BB Boost, I haven't touched my other pedals! I just don't need 'em!

Arghhhh i posted this ages ago andstill my gear hasn't been sorted. I only got time to take it to a tech yesterday. Will have everything sorted early next week though. I have 2 svetlana and 3 electro harmonix tubes going into the amp. hopefully it will sound great. fingers crossed
