Re: My band rehearsed in the studio a few weeks or so ago.

I never thought there would be a fight here. all over me posting my performance? Sure the microphone quality and video quality may suck, but at least you got to hear how I sound like in a band, even if it's not on guitar for half of it.

Re: My band rehearsed in the studio a few weeks or so ago.

Every thread posted on the forum offers the potential for a fight. Some people just enjoy scrapping for it's own sake and need very little incentive to start.

INTERWEBZ RULE #3:

No one has the right to bash someone else's online playing if that person hasn't posted their own online playing.

Because if you do, you're a fuggin' low-life hypocrite.

Now, with that - where's your clips? You think it's cool to rag on Nathan when he posts his performances...
when you haven't done jack squat yourself?

Please tell me where I may find these INTERWEBZ RULES. I would like to know your sources, because when I debate someone I like to be on equal footing when we're discussing a topic.

Note that I never bashed Nathan's playing. I have never bashed Nathan's playing. In fact I have gone out of my way to criticize his recording quality (as I am going to school for recording) and praise his playing, because I do believe that Nathan, for all of his eccentricities, is a phenomenal blues musician. Even here, my comment was not in response to his playing, but the fact that he had previously posted this video and so he reposted it in a new thread.

As for the "you haven't done jack squat yourself" how do you know this? Do you know me personally? Do you stalk me? Were you the guy I met in the back alley last week?

I actually perform in my college's blues ensemble and jazz combo as a bass player and in the pep band as both a bass player and a guitar player and I'm currently studying audio recording in school. However, just because I don't have any interest in posting my clips online, doesn't mean I'm suddenly less valued as a member of this forum by anyone but you. I feel as though I've contributed well to the guitar and pickup rooms, as well as asking for help in my own threads.

But alas, none of this matters, for as the great George Carlin once said "Never argue with an idiot; they will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience."

Re: My band rehearsed in the studio a few weeks or so ago.

my honest opinion: I wish youd separate out a good song out of that long clip and have good audio...

then I might be willing to try listening again,

but right now Im too busy listening to White Zombie and working on my own projects and goals lol

Re: My band rehearsed in the studio a few weeks or so ago.

More like I'm too lazy to dig through the bazillion threads.

That's a SD collaboration... how about something all by yourself or your own band?

Here's a hint: under "Tips And Clips", there's a "Post New Thread" button in the upper left area.

Hit that, then pick one of your own created clips/vids, then post, and wait for the critics' response... if they even bother to listen (it's not a very popular section of the board but it has gotten better).

Hopefully, for your sake, they'll be far more tolerant with your attempts than you have been with others'.

Is your point that once he does post a clip and anyone that's posted something to a positive response just has the right to trash everybody?

No, the point is GV needs to stop trashing people who post their own clips; namely the OP of this thread.

Especially considering that aside from a SD collaboration done years ago, GV never posts any of his own clips here.

GV stalks Nathan (GuitarFanatic) and trashes him every time he (GuitarFanatic) posts in Tips And Clips.

Not cool; especially for a (supposedly) 64 year old "man".

Maybe, but I can't help but feel that it implies that if GV posts clips and everyone digs them or had some kind of body of work with demonstrable accolades that he could trash GF as much as he likes.

You've already posted this. Nobody commented.
Trashing ? I commented that no one commented. I also noted his previous posting.

Mincer posted this
Yeah, please do not post the same thing twice. You can bump your original thread.

* this is blatantly untrue. My last comment was "tune your guitar " some three clips back.

There's some half a dozen or more threads before this that I did NOT post in.
I didn't even post [ nor did any one else ] when he first posted this jam. Guess what , I did listen to some of it.
I've listened to your " Copies " , I didn't bother commenting on any of it.

This edict of yours that I should produce a clip is a stupid contention of yours. We've been hanging here for years longer than you and no one has ever demanded " Clips for Justification ". This is not your forum so take your own forum criterion and put it in that special sunny place.

BTW In the past I have posted some of the tracks that can be found at my links. You weren't here.

Not cool; especially for a (supposedly) 64 year old "man".
Not supposed and I'm way cooler than you'll ever be.

GV, he's just mad that his own forum gets less views than my morning crap.

Re: My band rehearsed in the studio a few weeks or so ago.

Boy ol' Nate must feel all warm and fuzzy having a bunch of dudes fighting over him like he's some fragile lil feme. I think I should start a thread called 'Safe Space' for people to run to when they get 'triggered' ! (:0

That's LLL's MO. He trashed me left and right until I posted a clip. Which I find if funny coming from a guy who's musical resume could fit on the inside of a matchbook. I had accomplished more by the time I was 15 than he has done in his life. But I digress...He is the guitar world's self-appointed Poser Police not realizing he could unveil this forums biggest poser simply by looking in the mirror.

So I ask you LLL what have you done so wonderful that gives you the right to judge other guitar players?

The real question is..

Does Nathan's guitar have nibs?

Re: My band rehearsed in the studio a few weeks or so ago.

I see you're still butthurt over that; you talked a big game and talked alot of **** but had zero proof.

Way back, you bragged about going to MIT... and then someone else called you out, and it turned out you only attended a little while.

You never posted any of your own creations or showcased any of your playing.

And... I thought you were adult enough to get over being called out for all of your bragging.

To borrow a term from one of your pictures: Clips say everything...

Which I find if funny coming from a guy who's musical resume could fit on the inside of a matchbook. I had accomplished more by the time I was 15 than he has done in his life. Who are you to judge other people's "musical resumes"? What do "musical resumes" have to do with anything on this forum? And what exactly is a "musical resume" to someone like yourself who isn't a music professional in the least and therefore does not make a living writing songs?

What have you done lately music-wise? From the looks of it, not a g-damned thing. Do you even practice the guitar anymore?

So I ask you LLL what have you done so wonderful that gives you the right to judge other guitar players?

When I see grown adults stalking and picking on a kid, that gives me the right.

What gives you, GV, Johnny the Kid, et al... the right to judge and trash a kid (Nathan) posting audio and video clips?

Is it your... "musical resume"? :lmao:

And furthermore, where are your guys' clips? Too scared you'll get ridiculed if you post them? But of course it's okay for y'all to trash Nate's clips.

Nathan's got bigger b***s than the whole lot of you combined.

Seriously, GTF outta here with that crap.

So to sum up:

Stop picking on this kid - he's putting way more effort into music on this forum than any of y'all who criticize him... combined.

Talk is ****; actions speak louder than any words. If you're not giving any effort, you have no right to criticize those that are.
